Circa 1960s, The Vault started out as an ANZ bank, one of a handful on a busy Wentworth Street Port Kembla. Then, it was the business hub of Wollongong, but history took its toll on the strip. Around 2000/01, Lou and Jan Belancic purchased the property and turned it into a hugely successful dance club and cabaret – The Vault.

In 2016, when Lou and Jan put The Vault up for sale, Dave was on the lookout for a new adventure and challenge... he saw The Vault as an opportuning to exercise all his hobbies and interests, all at once! Dave has been involved in the radio, sound and entertainment business all his life, and has a deep love of food, hospitality and a nice glass of red. Or something.

With a history of naughty, exhilarating and hilarious entertainment, The Vault is continuing its tradition of being one of the best venues in the Illawarra. Dave provides a space for local people to enjoy incredible entertainment, great food and drinks and an atmosphere of connection.

Whether you're on the lookout for country music or heavy metal bands, acoustic performers, burlesque or variety shows, or even somewhere to hold your own function, you'll find it at The Vault.
